Aberdeen-based production chemistry specialist Oilfield Chemical Technology Ltd (OCTL) has unveiled its revamped website at www.octl.co.uk.
With a fresh new look and a concise guide to its services and facilities, the website it designed to make it easier for existing clients and propsective customers to find the information they need about the independent oil and gas consultancy.
It is the first time the website has been redesigned since OCTL opened its secondary base in Wareham, Dorset, in 2008.
The design project was undertaken by Hierographics a multi-disciplinary design agency dealing with print, corporate branding, websites, photography, exhibition graphics and promotional signage, who are also based in Wareham.
OCTL managing director David Brankling commented: “We are extremely pleased with our new-look website. It manages to be attractive and accessible as well as containing all the important technical information that our clients and the wider industry require”.
“It’s an ideal place to start for anyone wanting information about OCTL and its extensive range of oilfield consultancy and laboratory services.”
Aberdeen-based production chemistry specialist Oilfield Chemical Technology Ltd (OCTL) is celebrating after its new site in the south of England gained the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 after less than a year of opening.
The news comes as the head office secured the BSI quality accreditation for the 12th consecutive year thanks to its commitment to implementing high standards of procedures and systems for its laboratory and administrative operations.
The opening of the new laboratory/office facility in Wareham, Dorset, enables OCTL to expand its flow assurance and well productivity work, allowing the production chemistry and drilling fluid division more room to grow at OCTL’s headquarters at West Tullos, Aberdeen.
OCTL Managing Director David Brankling, who is based at the new location in Wareham, commented that management and staff should be proud of attaining the ISO 9001 accreditation and added that the quality benchmark is equally important to the company’s international client base.
He said: “Having an ISO 9001 is increasingly being adopted as a contractual obligation within the oil and gas sector.”
“Securing the quality standard for the 12th year running proves that OCTL has a long-term commitment to operating with a high degree of professionalism. Obtaining the extension for our new laboratory/office facility is especially pleasing as it shows the staff have risen to the challenge in such a short space of time.”
OCTL counts some of the major international drilling and exploration companies among its customers and provides valuable laboratory and consultancy resources to smaller, specialist operators on a worldwide basis.
Aberdeen-based production chemistry specialist Oilfield Chemical Technology Ltd (OCTL) is celebrating its 20th anniversary by opening an additional laboratory and office in the south of England.
The new facility in Wareham, Dorset, paves the way for growth in the flow assurance and well productivity work, allowing the production chemistry and drilling fluid division more room to expand at OCTL’s headquarters at West Tullos, Aberdeen.
The company, which employed an extra eight staff across the two sites, now plans to further increase its workforce to cope with customer demand. OCTL increased its turnover by around 30% for the year ending October 31 and has seen a similar growth in the number of new clients.
OCTL Managing Director and founder David Brankling said: “The general turndown in the economy and the drop in oil prices have made it even more important for operators to get professional and accurate advice on production and drilling chemistry as part of a cost-effective field development plan.” “We are seeing more business as clients recognise that our expertise is crucial - especially when it comes to operating in marginal fields.”
Mr Brankling is now based in Wareham but splits his time between the two offices. Company Director Joanne Brankling remains in Aberdeen from where she manages the day-to-day running of the company.
Commenting on OCTL’s commitment to Aberdeen, Mr Brankling added: “Many of our clients employ us because of our extensive knowledge of and expertise in the North Sea energy sector and we will continue to have a close working relationship with them via our headquarters in West Tullos.”
“However, we are also increasingly attracting business from overseas operators working in the emerging oil regions. Many of these companies have key personnel in the south of England or around the globe who are more accessible from our new office. By developing links with these customers we are bringing new business to both Aberdeen and Wareham.”
