OCTL is disposing of some surplus-to-requirements lab and office equipment and furniture. We also have a range of lab consumable such as glassware, tubing, fittings and titration equipment. Bio Rad Fraction Collector

Model 2110

This compact fraction collector has a footprint of just 24 x 33cm. It has a capacity of 80 13 x 100 mm glass, polypropylene, or polystyrene test tubes, and collection basis of 1–999 drops in 1 drop increments, 0.05–9.99 min in 0.01 min increments, 10.0–99.9 min in 0.1 min increments. Spares include fuses, drop formers end caps, two cassettes and test tubes (used but clean). Manual included.

Sciquip Tube Roller

Model MX-T6-S

An analogue model, this tube roller has six rollers that provide a rocking and rolling function to enable thorough mixing. It also features a drip tray for collecting any accidental spillages. The MX-T6-S has a variable speed switch that can be set between 0-70rpm. Manual included.

Cole Parmer Bench Top Rocker

Model 51401

This reliable, single-platform 230v rocker has a wide variety of applications and can be used at environments from cold rooms to heated chambers up to 65C. It can carry a load of up to 7kg, and offers speeds from 4 to 160 tilts per minute, and a tilt range of +/- 20 degrees. The timer features settings from 0-120 minutes or continuous.

Abbe 5 Refractometer

Model

Made by Bellingham + Stanley, this Abbe 5 Refractometer is suitable for capturing a wide refractive index measurement (nD) of 1.30 to 1.70, and a Brix measurement range of 0 to 95. With a footprint of just 22 x 12 cm, it occupies very little bench space, and comes packed in its own dedicated case.

Prestige Medical Autoclave

Model 2100

Designed for instrument sterilisation, this autoclave is an older model but has had little use and is still fully operational. It has a capacity of 9 litres and a maximum load weight of 3kg in its chamber that has dimensions of 210mm diameter x 230mm height. Its sterilising time is 16minutes at 121°C, and 11 minutes at 126°C. The autoclave includes a basket for instrument sterilisation, a manual, some temperature labels and autoclave disposal bags.

Jenway Colorimeter

Model 6061

This model is a microprocessor controlled laboratory colorimeter with eight in-built filters covering a range of 400 to 710nm. It requires minimal user maintenance, while the light source can be accessed easily. It can analyse samples in 10mm square cuvettes, test tubes, or pour-in / suck-out cells. It comes with a spare bulb and 10mm cells.

Buchi Vacuum Pump

Model V700 (2 available)

These pumps are used to evacuate laboratory instruments using a PTFE diaphragm pump. They are controlled by variable speed and single stroke technology. They can operate as a stand-alone pump or be incorporated into a vacuum system such a such as a Heidolph Rotary Evaporator (see below – pricing listed for pumps as well as at a discounted rate for both the pump and rotary evaporator).

Heidolph Rotary Evaporator

Model Hei Vap Value (2 available)

Uses range from the distillation / evaporation of solvents, the purification of chemicals and preparations, to the drying of powder. The evaporators include a full set of the relevant glassware (receiving flasks, evaporating flask, condensers, etc) to normal operation. Additional, glassware is available – details on request. They can be used with Buchi Vacuum Pumps (see above - pricing listed for evaporators as well as at a discounted rate for both the pump and rotary evaporator).

Hanna Portable Thermo-Hygrometer

Model HI 8564

The Hanna HI8564 provides a fast, high-precision reading for both relative humidity and temperature. It comes complete with a HI7060/2 RH probe as well as instructions and a 9V battery. It also includes a custom-made 250ml duran bottle with dessicant to keep the probe dry. The RH range is 10.0 to 95.0%, while the temperature range is 0.0 to 60.0C

Hanna Dissolved Oxygen and Temperature Meter

Model HI 9146

This heavy-duty, waterproof Dissolved Oxygen Meter provides accurate laboratory results under harsh industrial conditions. It measures DO in parts per million (0.00 to 45.00ppm) or by percentage (0.0 to 300.0%). The kit comprises the meter, a HI 7640/4F 2metre cable, electrolyte solution, an instruction manual and two membrane caps – all in a very sturdy carrying case.
